7 Hacks to make your heels more bearable

We’ve all been there, done that. The trauma us ladies have to experience when we’re determined to rock those (cute but killer) 5-inch heels has given us actual battle scars.

From using hairspray to secure your feet, to freezing too-tight shoes to stretch them out more, we’ve got you covered no matter what the problem is!

Suffer no more with these 7 genius shoe hacks as they’ll allow you to enjoy your night without enduring hours of intense pain. You can thank us later!

SLIP IN GEL INSERTS

Purchase some silicone or gel inserts and place them into the areas that are most uncomfortable on your feet. This will also give you extra grip and allow you to walk more comfortably. Some come with a sticky adhesive so they won't slip around as you walk in your heels.

STRAPS AND LACES

A pair of heels that has straps or are the lace-up kind will ensure your feet are secure and won't wobble or twist, giving you extra assurance and comfort when you're walking in them.

CHUNKY HEELS

If you know you're going to be on your feet the whole day, stick to a pair that has a chunkier heel. These will give you the utmost support and stability when you're walking all day or partying all night.

SOFT FOLDABLE FLATS

We all know the struggle of wanting to go barefoot after hitting the clubs or a long event, but don't resort to such a situation. Instead, bring along a pair of your favourite ballerina flats so you can easily switch to them when you start to feel the pinch.

KEEP BAND-AIDS HANDY

Along with your comfy flats, spare yourself from the painful blisters and pack a couple band-aids because you do not want to be in intense pain or bleeding by the end of the night.

EXTRA HOLD HAIRSPRAY

If you're hurrying out the door and didn't have time to buy those gel inserts, you can try spraying some extra hold hairspray onto the soles and sides of your high heels. Doing this will stop your feet from slipping out of your shoes if you're wearing a size too big.

FREEZE THEM!

Bought a pair of heels that are just way too small and uncomfortable because they were the last pair and you've been eyeing them all season? This hack will save you. Fill up a ziplock bag with water and insert one each into your heels, then keep them in your freezer overnight. Freezing the water in your heels will stretch your shoe out and make them about a size larger. You're welcome!
