Flare Workout Jumpsuit, Halter Neck One Piece Unitard

The flare starts below the knee
The leg is fitted from hip to knee and only then opens, so the hem falls over a trainer instead of bunching on top of the ankle. This is a bootcut amount of flare, not a bell bottom: enough width at the opening to balance a wider hip, not so much that the fabric swings when you walk. From the side the leg reads as straight down to roughly the knee, which is why it does not look like a costume.

Two inseams, and how to pick one
Most one-piece jumpsuits are cut in one length and everyone outside that length improvises with the hem. This one is cut at 31 and 33 inches. The way to choose is not height: measure the inseam of a pair of trousers that already sit where you want them to, and match the number. 31 lands at the top of a trainer, 33 adds two inches and reaches the floor. Above the knee the two are the same garment and the body measurements are identical, so tall here is a longer leg rather than a bigger size.

Where the back band sits
At the back the halter turns into a band that crosses at the lower edge of the shoulder blades, and everything above it is bare. That position is why the band does not ride into the shoulder blades when you reach overhead. It is also why a bra with a hook-and-eye back would sit exactly where the band is and show above it. Pads are already in the front panel, so there is no second layer to hide.

Tummy control means the cut, not a second layer
The listing uses the phrase tummy control, so it is worth saying what that is here: a seam under the bust and a waist taken in at the sides. There is no bonded panel inside and nothing is doubled. It keeps the knit from folding over at the waist when you sit, and it will not flatten a stomach. If what you want is compression, this is the wrong garment.

Getting in, and keeping the line
It pulls on over the head; there is no zip, and the neck opening is the way through. If your shoulders are broad next to your chest, buy for the shoulder and accept a little ease at the waist, because sizing down to tighten the middle makes that opening hard to get past. Wash it cold and lay it flat to dry. A full-length knit hung from the halter carries its whole weight on one strap, and the shoulder gives before the fabric wears out.
