5 Tricks to make your high heels more comfortable

1.TAPE YOUR THIRD AND FOURTH TOES TOGETHER

Often find yourself with painful feet while wearing heels? Tape your third and fourth toes together with medical tape for added stability. This will also relieve some of the pressure from the ball of your feet.

2.USE EXTRA PADDING UNDER THE BALLS OF YOUR FEET

The balls of your feet withstands the most pressure when you’re in heels, so it makes sense to have extra padding there. You can either buy heels that are already padded, or get inserts to stuff in your heels.

3.AVOID WEARING SINGLE-SOLE HEELS ON NIGHT OUTS

Single-sole heels may look super chic, but they’re not made for long hours of wear. If you know you’ll be on your feet for most of the night, stick to heels with more cushion under the balls of your feet, such as platforms.

4.APPLY VASELINE TO PRESSURE POINTS

Before putting on your shoes, apply a thin coat of vaseline to the backs of your ankles, the bottoms of your heels, and along the sides of your toe bones. This helps reduce friction between your skin and shoes.

5.FREEZE YOUR SHOES

We know this sounds weird, but if you happen to have an oh-so-perfect pair of heels that are just a little bit too tiny for your feet, try freezing them. Fill plastic sandwich bags with water, then insert them into the shoes. Place your shoes in the freezer and leave them there overnight. As the water freezes, it will expand and stretch out the fabric of your heels.
